Fighting COVID-19: What is the most impactful approach in low-resource settings?

14 months after the start of the global pandemic, there are manifold experiences and an ever-growing tool box to address the multiple challenges of this pandemic. While not all tools and products are sufficiently available on the African soil, we need to apply learnings from other geographies as well as from other pandemics to design the most impactful approach to fight COVID-19. Based on the experiences from the past months and the expertise built, what concepts have been built up combining different tools to bridge the gap? How can or should governments, industry and international organizations collaborate to ensure every country has the opportunity to overcome the pandemic effectively?

This expert panel with representatives from Africa CDC, Rwanda Biomedical Centre (RBC), UNICEF, Foundation for Innovative New Diagnostics (FIND) and Siemens Healthineers will discuss how available tools and processes, like vaccine prioritization, logistics improvements or digital solutions to raise efficiency can be combined to fight COVID-19 especially in lower-recourse settings.
