Côte d'Ivoire had already laid the foundations to further expand its health system before the Corona crisis. The government's national health development plan envisages establishing a powerful and efficient health system in the coming years. From 2020 to 2024, the government therefore expects to spend 2.5 billion euros on expanding the health sector. A focal point is the development of the pharmaceutical industry: the Ivorian pharmaceutical industry, which focuses primarily on generic drugs, covers only 10 percent of the total demand for medicines in the country and is thus estimated to meet only about 30 percent of the population's needs.

Participation in the event is free of charge for members of Afrika-Verein and of German Health Alliance. Non-members pay 30,- EUR incl. VAT.
