About SUNFarming
Since its foundation in 2004, SUNfarming GmbH has covered the entire project development and EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) value chain: starting from planning, development, financing and construction, as well as the monitoring and maintenance of solar parks and associated concepts like e-mobility and agrophotovoltaics (Food & Energy). Our international team, composed of experienced business professionals, engineers, and technicians, has successfully implemented projects with a total capacity of more than 600 MWp. SUNfarming undertakes the technical operational management for over 320 MWp of these installations, both domestically and internationally.
In Africa, SUNfarming focuses on Food & Energy installations. Food & Energy ensures effective food production while simultaneously providing a sustainable energy supply through photovoltaics. The goal is to invest in installations of at least 30 MWp that include integrated training in the fields of PV, batteries, and e-mobility. Bio-vegetables, eggs, and fish are produced between and under the modules, coupled with local marketing. For every MWp, between 500 to 1000 jobs are created over 10 years, and food is produced for 2500 to 5000 people. SUNfarming is active across Africa, with a focus on the member states of the G20 initiative "Compact with Africa."
