The German-African Business Association (Afrika-Verein, AV) maintains an ongoing dialogue with political stakeholders in Germany, the European Union, and African countries. It regularly issues statements on key Africa policy matters, represents the interests of the German business community vis-à-vis governments and institutions in Germany, Europe, and Africa, and helps shape the framework conditions for successful business engagement by German companies in Africa. In addition, the Afrika-Verein advocates for a realistic and differentiated image of Africa and for an opportunity-oriented policy approach.
