Chairperson
Sabine Dall'Omo is a highly respected figure in the field of digital technology and engineering in Africa, recognized as one of the continent's most influential women in this male-dominated industry. With over thirty years of experience at Siemens, she currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and board member for Siemens in South Africa, where she has consistently demonstrated a commitment to driving innovation and leveraging technology for the advancement of society. She has been Chairperson of Afrika-Verein since April 2023.

Vice-Chairman
Roland Göhde, Lead for Global Health & International Health Cooperation at Sysmex Europe SE, has been a member of the Board of the Afrika-Verein since 2014 and was elected to its Executive Committee in 2023. He also serves as Chairman of the German Health Alliance, is a co-founder and CEO of the Virchow Foundation, and is a member of the Advisory Groups of the UNFPA WomenX Collective and the UNAIDS-established Health Innovation Exchange, as well as the Steering Committee of One Europe for Global Health.

Volker Schütte is CEO of Louis Delius GmbH & Co. KG and honorary consul of the Republic of South Africa. Mr Schütte has been active in the Board of Afrika-Verein since 2005 and elected as Vice-Chairman in 2019.

Member of the Presidium Committee
Tanja Baur is Executive Board Member and COO of the globally operating engineering and consulting company Dorsch Global GmbH. For more than two decades, she has been involved in international infrastructure projects across many African countries, particularly in the context of development cooperation on issues such as water and wastewater management, mobility, food security, biodiversity, and crisis prevention. She also serves as a board member of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Association of Consulting Engineers (VBI).

Rasmus Woermann has been professionally connected with Africa for two decades, including extended stays in Angola and Nigeria. As Managing Director of the trading company C. Woermann GmbH & Co. KG, he promotes cooperative economic relations. In addition, he serves as Deputy Chairman of the Sub-Saharan Africa Initiative of German Business (SAFRI), as a member of the plenary assembly of the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce, and on the board of the Hamburg Exporters’ Association.
