The EU and South Africa sign the first Clean Trade and Investment Partnership to deepen trade and investment in clean, diversified supply chains. The deal covers renewables, grids, clean fuels, raw materials value chains and climate tech. It supports South Africa’s industrialisation and Just Energy Transition, boosts EU access to critical inputs, mobilises public and private finance, tackles trade barriers and links EIB funding and Global Gateway to flexible, business-driven green growth.
