GERMAN-GHANAIAN GOVERNMENT NEGOTIATIONS BUSINESS DAY
DATE: December 1st, 2025 TIME: 10.00 AM - 6.00 PM (WAT)
VENUE: Kempinski Hotel, Accra

On the occasion of the government consultations between Ghana and Germany, GIZ Ghana, in cooperation with the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Ghana (AHK Ghana) and the German-African Business Association (Afrika-Verein), is hosting a Business Day to bring together German and Ghanaian companies for sector-focused sessions on synergies, partnerships, and joint project development in Ghana.

Context: The government negotiations between Ghana and Germany are high-level talks between Ghana’s Ministry of Finance and Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) to review cooperation and set priorities for joint programmes in areas like sustainable growth and energy. The next meeting will be held on December 2nd, 2025 in Accra.

PREPARATION
-Interviews-
In preparation for the event, the partners are conducting individual interviews to identify each sector’s current challenges and to develop concrete project ideas that align with the objectives of the bilateral cooperation between Ghana and Germany.

-Sector outreach calls-
After the interviews the partners will summarize the results for each sector and present those during five virtual sector calls during the week of November 17th (invitations will be shared individually).
