Resource-rich nations are pushing for local processing and value addition, reshaping mining value chains and creating new opportunities for investors. At the same time, industrialisation strategies are evolving: instead of focusing solely on exports to Europe and the US, countries are strengthening regional trade and operationalising the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA). Financing models are also changing.
