AV Working Group Finance: Focus Senegal

Senegal is currently in a phase of economic transition: after revealing significant budget deficits and a national debt of over 100% of GDP, the new government under President Bassirou Diomaye Faye has introduced reforms to restore financial stability. At the same time, the start of oil and gas production from 2025 promises strong economic growth of up to 9.3%, which will be supported by infrastructure projects and economic diversification. Nevertheless, challenges remain.

On May 14^th from 3.00 to 4.00 pm (via Teams), together with Frank Bergmann, Senior Economist and Thierno Diallo, Senior Representative Abidjan from Commerzbank, we want take a look at the most current developments of Senegal’s economic and financial state. Explore how it will affect doing business with and in Senegal and discuss recent challenges within the AV Community.
