Africa – Post COVID-19
Good-Practice-Models: Securing Investments and Creating Jobs in Africa

Digital Workshop I – Mobility and Logistics
1st of October 2020 (2 pm – 4 pm CET)

The full impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the global business community is not foreseeable yet. But it is undeniable that securing jobs and jointly creating new employment opportunities are the foundation of sustainable development of African economies and important pillars of the German-African business relations.

On behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) the Special Initiative on Training and Job Creation offers support to overcome investment barriers in Africa and is helping to preserve jobs and secure investments during the COVID-19 pandemic. A project of the Special Initiative implemented by the GIZ is the Pan-African Mobility Alliance (PAMA) – a strategic platform that promotes private investment leading to sustainable mobility as well as more and better jobs in Africa.

Within the framework of this digital workshop, successful business approaches in the field of mobility and logistics will be presented. Additionally, ideas and concepts shall be developed aiming to provide solutions and strategies for the African employment market – in particular on how to manage the current COVID-19 pandemic and its effects on the continent. Exploring new concepts, developing cross-sectional perspectives and thinking out of the box is highly welcome!

Please submit your expression of interest until the 22nd of September 2020 via mail to Mrs Richers-Mollie richersmollie@afrikaverein.de .

The number of participants is limited. Therefore, participants might be pre-selected based on sector specific affiliation. Confirmed participants will receive a questionnaire in order to gain more information about their individual interests and motivation. The provided information will be treated confidentially!
