Webinar
„Trends amidst COVID-19 – Doing Business in Ethiopia and Kenya”
on June 24th 2020, 12.00 to 01.00 pm.

Ethiopia and Kenya are two large economies that are seen to compete. In 2016, Ethiopia beat Kenya to become the largest economy in the Eastern Africa region. At the beginning of 2020, Kenya has overtaken Ethiopia to regain its coveted prize as the biggest economy in the Eastern Africa region, new data by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) shows.

During the webinar, Afrika-Verein and our partners from the DLA Piper offices in Ethiopia and Kenya will address current developments as well as important regulatory changes. The two countries will be analysed and discussed: What are the main differences with regard to doing business in these two rapidly growing economies? What are their strengths and weaknesses?

Additionally, you will be able to address your individual questions to the experts.

In addition to our sector and country-related business fora, the German-African Business Association would like to give its members and other interested companies the opportunity to discuss current topics and concerns regarding individual countries in a smaller group setting. Especially during the current crisis, our goal is to provide you with in-depth information and updates on individual African countries and to strengthen the exchange between our members.

The webinar will be held in English.
